MDG2: Achieve universal primary education

Target 1: Ensure that, by 2015, children everywhere, boys and girls alike, will be able to complete a full course of primary schooling.

How does MDG 2 reflect God's heart and concern?

It's obvious throughout the Bible that children are very close to God's heart.  Click here to see a list of verses compiled by Compassion.  The importance of passing wisdom and teaching on is emphasized in Scripture (eg Deuteronomy 6:7) and Jesus, perhaps the most famous teacher who has ever lived, loved to spend time with children (Matthew 19:14).
