Bible & Poverty

The Bible has a lot to say about poverty and justice. You probably know if you removed all the pages which mention justice it wouldn't stand up!

And Jesus had a lot to say about the poor.

But as the Church what should our response be? How do we reconcile evangelism with how the Bible approaches advocacy? How should we prioritise poverty on our doorstep against global poverty? Are we really able to make a difference anyway?

We believe that being advocates for the poor is central to our core mission as Christians. This section aims to provide articles, links and resources that help answer these questions and deepen our understanding of advocacy, as well as provoke and challenge us.
